Larsen & Toubro (L&T) Construction has announced during BSE filing that it has won Rs 5,146 crore worth orders across multiple business segments.
Firstly, the company’s power transmission & distribution has won business order worth Rs 2,780 crore in the domestic and international market. A Rs 221 crore worth order was received by its smart world and communication business from Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Prasaran Nigam. L&T water and effluent treatment business has secured an order worth Rs 1,292 crore. Apart from this, its building and factories business and metallurgical and material handling segment have won orders worth Rs 534 crore and Rs 319 crore respectively.
Recently, L&T also participated in a bid for the strategically important Zojila Pass Tunnel project during the government’s reissue of tender for Rs 10,000 crore. The auction is called by The National Highways Infrastructure Development and Corporation Limited (NHIDCL). The 14-kms project is to connect Srinagar and Leh Ladakh region which is located at a height of 11,000 feet.
