Sahara Group is in the process of evaluating the final bids for the auction of its 30 domestic properties worth about Rs 7,500 crore.
The bidding was conducted by Knight Frank and will be managed by them until the final transaction. As per the estimation, more than 250 Expressions of Interest (EOIs) including were received to purchase Sahara’s listed assets for auction across India. According to the sources, 25-26 interested companies have submitted their final bid including Tata, Godrej, Adani and Patanjali and some real estate developers such as Omaxe and Eldeco.
Apart from this, Sahara Group is also looking to sell three of its hotels located abroad. The hotels are Plaza and Dream Downtown in New York and Grosvenor House in London.
“Final bids for 30 properties are in process. It is quite early, so we cannot comment anything at this stage. And moreover. it is being dealt by Knight Frank India,” says a spokesperson for Sahara Group.
