Awfis Space Solutions has planned to expand its business by increasing total of around 15,000 seats across Gurgaon, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Mumbai and Chennai by the end of this year.
This co-working space provider has currently 4,500 seats and by looking at the current co-working ecosystem, it believes that the industry will be in a need of more co-working space, not just start-ups but corporate and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). In fact, corporate and SMEs have been more keen to move in on the co-working space for their office operations.
“A lot of corporate and SMEs are showing interest in working-out of co-working spaces as it helps them in cutting overall costs and at the same time keeps them free from all the hassles of managing office spaces,” says Amit Ramani, Founder and CEO, Awfis.
The current plan is to open 550 seat co-working spaces at Gulf Course Road in Gurgaon by March. Awfis identified one centre each in Mumbai, Navi Mumbai and Hyderabad which will be opened by April. Furthermore, five finalised centres in Kolkata and Chennai are scheduled to be opened in the second quarter of this year, confirmed by Ramani.
