With an aim to complete 72 kms long Hyderabad Metro Rail (HMR) project within this year, Telangana Chief Secretary SP Singh has directed senior officials to speed up the acquisition of the affected properties at different part of the city.
The statement was recorded in the meeting of the Special Task Force where the Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao expressed his wish to complete the project sooner.
Singh directly spoke to Collectors of Hyderabad and Ranga Reddy districts and the city civic Commissioner to complete acquisitions of properties in Badichowdi, Sultan Bazar and Putlibowli in next few months. Few remaining area like Krishna Nagar, Yusufguda and Jubilee Hills, they can begin the process of purchasing to fast track the development.
According to the progress report, 61 kms of foundations, 59 kms of pillars and 50 kms of viaduct works are done.
