1Rajasthan’s four cities’ about Rs 265 crore worth of development process will be completed before the second anniversary of smart city project celebration on June 25, assured by Manjit Singh, Principal Secretary, Local Self Government (LSG).
Reportedly, around Rs 6, 729 crore is planned to be spent on smart city projects distributed in 4 cities Jaipur, Udaipur, Ajmer and Kota as Rs 2,401 crore, Rs 1,221 crore, Rs 1,948 crore and Rs 1, 456 crore respectively.
In Ajmer, the government has included heritage conservation, painting project, open gym, cycle sharing project, e-bus project, LED lights project, construction of the cultural park, statue-sculpture project, cycle and walking track project, heritage museum construction and smart classroom project under the smart city project.
In Jaipur, 50 projects worth Rs 821 crore are targeted to be completed in the current financial year that comprises smart mobility, heritage and tourism, infrastructure and solid waste management. Whereas in Udaipur, there are total 55 projects worth Rs 1,100 crore to be planned which incorporate public transport, smart water supply, parking, solar rooftop power plant and construction of control and command centre.
