Infosys, one of largest IT companies of India, has bought about 3 acres of land in Electronics City in Bengaluru from Pradot Technology, a healthcare company. The deal is done for Rs 32.5 crore with Rs 2,500 per sq. ft. for the land parcel, confirms Ramadas Kamath – the head of infrastructure and sustainability at Infosys.
The land will be used to provide barrack for almost 300 CISF (Central Industrial Security Force) personnel. There is no decision on any longer term plan to utilize the rest of the space.
Infosys has not confirmed on which builder is going to get the construction for this new land but there are two developers as frontrunners: Sobha and KEF Infra.
Sobha has developed about 35 million sqft of office space for Infosys till date. On the other hand, KEF Infra has received some of project deals from Infosys including the world’s tallest clock tower for Infosys at its Mysuru campus.
